What Delivery Options Are Offered?

Lilliputs provides two delivery options:

  1. In store collection at our Rosebank Store details for which can be found on our contacts page.
  2. Courier delivery to your door.

 

Are there any limits to parcel size?

Yes, the following limitations apply:

  1. There is 30Kg volumetric limit on each parcel calculated based on dimensions and weight of the product. All individual products available online conform to this, however, when ordering a large number of items, the order may have to be split into two or more separate parcels. If the order amount is over the required free shipping for multiple parcels, delivery will be free even if split e.g. An order for Local delivery of R1,700.00 will attract free shipping for up to 3 parcels. An order of R2,500.00 for Regional or Outlying delivery will attract free shipping of up to 2 parcels
  2. We do carry items that are above the 30Kg volumetric limit such as outdoor Jungle Gyms etc. These products are listed on the site and highlighted as available "In Store Only" for collection from our Rosebank branch.  Should you interested in having an "In Store Only" item couriered to you, we are happy to obtain a quote on your behalf.

 

What are the costs of delivery or collection?

In store collection is free and orders can be collected within two hours of placing your order (sooner if you notify us) or at any time during our trading hours. You will receive an email notification once your order is ready for collection. For courier delivery the following costs are applicable:

  • All Local orders (Brown, Yellow, Green in the map below - e.g. Johannesburg, Soweto, Pretoria etc.) over R500.00 (Incl. VAT), qualify for free shipping which is automatically applied to your order at checkout.
  • All Regional and Outlying orders (Red, Orange, Dark Grey, Light Grey in the map below - e.g. Durban, Cape Town, Knysna, Kimberley, Uppington etc.) over R1,000.00 (Incl. VAT), qualify for free shipping which is automatically applied to your order at checkout.
  • Local orders below R500.00 and Regional/Outlying orders below R1,000.00 will be calculated and provided during checkout.

 

How long will delivery take?

Lilliputs Delivery Times

 

  • BrownYellowGreen areas can expect delivery within 8-48 hours. Orders placed before 9am may be delivered on the same day.
  • Red areas can expect delivery in 1-3 days.
  • Orange areas can expect delivery in 2-4 days.
  • Dark Grey areas can expect delivery in 2-4 days.
  • Light Grey areas can expect delivery in 3-5 days.

Can I update the delivery details after I have placed the order?

Yes you may, depending on how soon you contact us after the order has been placed i.e. the sooner the better.  We will only accept change of delivery requests from the email associated with the order.

Can my delivery be split?

Generally all items sold on our site are available in stock, with the only exception being pre-orders on pre-launch items.  Should you wish to split an order please contact us but bear in mind that if either shipment falls below the R500 Local threshold or R1,000 Regional/Outlying threshold, you may incur additional delivery charges.

Can I schedule a specific delivery time?

Unfortunately, specific times cannot be guaranteed for couriered items and someone should be available to receive the parcel on your behalf at the delivery address.

Where can I collect my order?

You can collect your order from our Lilliputs RoseBank Store. Shop #316, 50 Bath Ave, Rosebank Mall, Rosebank.

 

When can I collect my order?

Orders for collection generally take 2 business hours before they are ready to be collected.  Should you require your order to be prepared sooner please contact us.

What to I require to collect my order?

Please bring your order confirmation (printed or on mobile) and a copy of your ID/Driver's License or Passport. 

Can someone collect my order on my behalf?

Yes, provided they have a copy of the order confirmation, valid ID, and you have instructed us to hand over to a 3rd party using the email address associated with the order.  We will also require that the 3rd party sign a delivery form.

Can I change my order from collect to deliver?

Yes, with the following stipulations:

  • Instruction to do so has been received via the email associated with the order.
  • Orders over R500.00 for Local delivery or R1,000.00 for Regional/Outlying delivery will be shipped at no cost.
  • Orders below R500.00 for Local delivery and R1,000.00 for Regional/Outlying delivery will incur an associated delivery fee which will be communicated to you via email and require an EFT payment into our account.  Once the delivery fee reflects, we will schedule your delivery and provide you with a tracking number.

What is the legal trading name of Lilliputs?

 

How long has Lilliputs been in operation?

Lilliputs has been in operation since 1957, making us the oldest independent toy store in South Africa.

Where does the name Lilliputs come from?

The name Lilliputs, comes from the famous literary work "Gulliver's Travels" by Jonathan Swift and refers to the fictional island of Lilliput, the land of the little people.  Gulliver's Travels will be celebrating its 300 year publication anniversary in 2026.  It is this rich history, reference to the little people and vivid imagery that underpins Lilliputs Toys. 

Do you have physical stores?

Yes.  We have 2 physical stores.  One located in Rosebank Mall and the other in Hyde Park Mall.  Whilst we are happy dealing with you online, we would certainly prefer to welcome you in person.

Do you offer a concierge service?

Yes.  Both in store (in person or telphonically) or on-line (via our chat, e-mail or social media pages).  We understand that it can be daunting to select just the right gift for that special little someone and, to be honest, no other toy store can offer the decades of experience that Lilliputs can.  We'll ask you a few questions and help guide you in selecting the perfect gift which you can purchase either in store or online.
